Step 1 — Bring in your BOQ

Free
Tip: copy your BOQ rows directly from Excel and paste here. We'll auto-detect columns.

Step 2 — Price your lines

0 lines

No BOQ loaded yet.

Paste a table, upload a file, or load the sample to get started.

Yellow rate = below the AI band (you may be under-priced and win-but-lose). Red rate = above the AI band (you may be over-priced and not get the work).

Step 2b — Compare supplier quotes Optional

Upload supplier / sub-contractor quotes (Excel or CSV). We'll match each quote line to your BOQ by description and show you the cheapest quote per line, plus how each compares to the market band.

No quotes uploaded yet — upload one to compare.

i Overhead — your indirect running costs

Two ways to handle overhead in a SA tender:

1. Spread across rates — Type your real running costs (e.g. R100 000/month × 4 months = R400 000). The tool converts that to a % of your direct subtotal and bakes it into every line. Use this when the tender BOQ has no P&G section.

2. Place in a BOQ line — Most SA paper tenders have a fixed line for P&G (often 1.1.1 Contractual Requirements). Type the R-amount into that BOQ row's rate yourself, then tick the box below. The tool keeps the figure here for reference but doesn't add it again — preventing a double-count.

The Insert as P&G line item button (appears in the warning) inserts a row for you and auto-ticks the box.

R
Type your real running costs (e.g. R100 000/month × 4 months) — we’ll convert it to a per-line uplift automatically.

Each slider is added directly into every line's rate — e.g. a 5% markup means price × 1.05. The line totals in the grid above already include markup, overheads, profit and contingency.

Step 4 — Schedule Summary & Consistency Check

SA tender BOQs typically end with a per-schedule summary so the client can see the cost split. This panel mirrors that table and flags any schedule whose share of the contract value falls outside accepted SA construction-industry weighting bands.
